The ballroom studio has 9 large windows - 4 north facing, 4 west facing and 1 east facing. Even 9 windows. While it does have a lot of windows, this space isn't particularly bright, instead it has moody pockets of light which works well for individual(s) and couples. If you're shooting a group in this space bringing your own additional lighting equipment is recommended. We do not provide additional lighting for this space, but we do have multiple light stands available so that you have less to carry in.

does this studio get good natural light?

YES! We love when photogs host styled shoots in our studio! There are certain rules/restrictions when hosting a styled shoot with multiple photographers and/or models. Please contact us and let us know more about your shoot and we will be more than happy to help you get something scheduled!

can i host a styled shoot here?

The piano in our Ballroom space is a Parlor Grand (bigger than a baby grand and smaller than a medium grand). It is 95 years old and has been lovingly restored. It is regularly tuned and serviced. The piano can be used for photoshoots, but is NOT a toy. It is NOT allowed to be moved for any reason. Weighing over 900 lbs, it's legs are NOT made to be pushed around. The piano would be the most expensive item to repair or replace in the studio, please treat it with respect.
