During a sunny to mid-sunny day, this studio has great natural light from sunrise to sunset, since the windows are south and east facing. This studio does get hard light at times, there are curtains to help diffuse it. The ceilings are white and bounce artificial light well. On a gloomy day or after sunset, you will want to bring additional lighting with you. 

This space is fairly large and open, however the way that the styles sets are placed, there are still some tighter angles. Depending on how many people you are photographing in the space you could shoot with a focal length max of up to 85mm for individuals, however a 35mm-50mm would be much better.

My favorite lenses for this space are 35mm, 24-70mm and my 24-105mm.

All of our spaces are specifically designed with photography/photographers in mind. You can absolutely shoot video(s) in this space however, it is on the ground level with large windows. It is one of the spaces that picks up street noise, train horns and voices from people walking on the sidewalk.

If you aren't recording sound and/or adding sound in-post, then would be a great space for video work.

We love BABIES! And we love Cake Smashes! However, cake smash sessions are only allowed in the Milestone studio only.

can i have a cake smash in this studio?

We love to help photographers host mini-sessions here, however there are a few rules to keep in mind. If you are going to host more than 2 sessions in one hour, you must book the large group rental, even if your guest total is under 7 guests.
There are a lot of different reasons for this, but if you have any questions regarding this policy, please don't hesitate to ask.

can i host mini sessions here?

The max limit is 6 guests in the Dunnview studio at one time. This space is just under 1200sq. ft. and while it can accommodate up to 12 guests, the comfortable amount for a photography session is a family of 6 or less. If you will have more than 6 guests in the studio, you must book the large group option. There is no option to add on the max amount of animals at one time. The SET amount for pets is two at one time.
